As a non-artist, I see art as pure magic. My role is to ensure that magic is seen, understood, and appreciated.
I build and manage the structure beyond the studio, from art writing and exhibition statements to proposals, grant writing, sponsorship outreach, bookkeeping, financial systems, strategic planning, social media refinement, brand positioning, and collector and donor communications.
In short, I handle the professional and operational work many artists do not have the time to manage but need in order to build a sustainable and visible career.
Art Reviews
I have written about art for what feels like forever, and have always been drawn to criticism that captures the essence of a work, exhibition, or creative voice with both precision and vitality. By art, I do not mean visual art alone, but also music, literature, performance, and food. To articulate how a painter builds atmosphere, how a musician shapes tension, how an author constructs interiority, or how a chef composes flavor in a way that remains compelling and accessible requires real attentiveness to craft.
I know countless creatives who have secured a sale, a grant, a residency, a fellowship, or an exhibition because someone took the time to write about their work with care and clarity. A strong review can shape perception, open doors, and affirm the seriousness of a practice.
I do not position myself as rescuing anything. Rather, I see this as an act of contribution. Writing about artists whose work moves me is a way of giving something tangible back to the creative communities that have shaped my own life. This project is still in its early stages, but it is grounded in commitment. I am here to write, to think carefully, and to share work that deserves sustained attention.
